Title : Voice-Recognition Interfaces For Online Information System .
This project will develop and evaluate voice recognition and control module to provide a natural language, hands free, front end to a computing application . Three separate applications interfaces (one per student) are of interest :
- For a medical patient management system, which would provide hands-free data input in clinic .
- For an outdoor wearable computer (Augmented Environment) .
- For use in a car/vehicle for location-dependent information delivery .
The project will include an investigation into commercially available voice recognition APIs, and the development and evaluation of an interface module using this API . Students will find the windows programming and natural language .
